Q-Amp transimpedance preamplifier

Description:

Photograph of MicroAcoustic's ultra-low-noise Q-Amp preamplifier.
The Q-Amp™ is a trans-impedance preamplifier designed primarily for use with MicroAcoustic's BAT™ transducers. The amplifier exhibits ultra-low noise performance and extremely high gain in a small well-shielded enclosure. A switch-selectable high-pass filter allows reduction of output energy at audio and near-ultrasonic frequencies, while an attenuator circuit can be activated in cases where the input signal from the transducer is too high. The high-voltage polarizing supply can be switch-activated for use with capacitive-type transducers, or can be deactivated for use with piezoelectric-type transducers. The unit is powered from a small wall-mount ac adapter which ships standard with the unit.
